Overview
Loctite 574 is a single-component, medium-strength anaerobic flange sealant that cures in the absence of air between close-fitting rigid metal flanges. It replaces cut gaskets, forming a flexible, form-in-place seal that resists oil, water, glycol, and most chemicals.
Usage Instructions
Clean and degrease both flange surfaces thoroughly. Apply a continuous bead of Loctite 574 around the flange face and bolt holes. Assemble the flanges promptly, as the product cures only when compressed between the two rigid metal surfaces with air excluded. Torque bolts to specification and allow the fixture time before pressurizing the system.
