LOCTITE® 648 is a high-strength, low-viscosity retaining adhesive designed for cylindrical assemblies where oil residue on machined surfaces would otherwise weaken a standard adhesive bond. Its thin formula flows into tight-tolerance fits before curing to a strong, heat-resistant lock.
Usage Instructions
Clean surfaces where possible, though the low-viscosity formula tolerates light oil film. Apply Loctite 648 to the shaft or bore before assembly, ensuring full coverage as the part is inserted. Allow full cure time before loading the assembly under operating conditions.
