Overview
LOCTITE® 577 Medium Strength Thread Sealant is engineered for reliable sealing and securing of threaded pipe and fitting connections. Unlike PTFE tape, it fills thread gaps completely and cures to a semi-flexible seal that resists vibration loosening while still permitting future disassembly with hand tools.
Usage Instructions
Clean and degrease the threads. Apply a bead of Loctite 577 around the male thread, avoiding the first thread to prevent contamination inside the pipe. Assemble and tighten to the required torque. Allow the recommended cure time before pressure-testing the connection.
