Overview
DOWSIL™ 795 (formerly Dow Corning 795) is a one-part, neutral-cure, architectural-grade silicone building sealant. It extrudes easily in any weather and cures at room temperature. It is used for glazing and weather sealing of building facades and curtain walls. In a properly designed structurally glazed joint, Dow states it is strong enough to support glass and other panel materials under high wind load.
Usage Instructions
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. Cut the cartridge nozzle to the desired bead size and apply using a standard caulking gun. Tool the bead within the sealant’s skin-over time for a smooth finish. Allow the sealant to cure before exposing the joint to movement, load or water testing.
Safety Information
Use in a ventilated area. Avoid prolonged skin contact. Read Dow’s official Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
