Overview
V-tech Vital Tape (VT-160/VT-169 series) is a premium, ever-tacky black butyl sealant tape manufactured by Vital Technical Sdn Bhd (Malaysia), engineered for automotive glass installation, construction, and industrial sealing applications. Its ever-tacky formula bonds instantly to glass, metal, and plastic, forming a permanent, waterproof seal without the mess of liquid sealants.
Usage Instructions
- Ensure the bonding surface is clean, dry, and free of dirt, grease, oil, or water.
- Remove the release paper and press the tape firmly around the pinch weld for complete contact.
- Ensure the tape is continuously and evenly attached along the full pinch weld to create a watertight seal.
- In cold weather, warm the tape before installation — this softens it for easier handling and better workability.
Storage & Shelf Life
Store in a dry, cool place at a temperature around 30°C. Shelf life is 18 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly.
Safety Information
According to the manufacturer’s Safety Data Sheet, VT-160/VT-169 is not classified as hazardous under the UN GHS system and is non-flammable, with a VOC content of less than 10 g/l.
