Overview
LOCTITE® 242 is a medium-strength, removable threadlocking adhesive from Henkel’s industrial Loctite range. It locks nuts and bolts against loosening from vibration and shock while still allowing disassembly with standard hand tools during future maintenance.
Usage Instructions
Clean and dry threads. Apply a few drops of Loctite 242 to the bolt threads before assembly. Tighten to the required torque. Allow the recommended cure time before putting the joint under load. For removal, use standard hand tools — no heat required for medium-strength grades.
